At Anderson Dahlen, safety isn’t just a box we check. It’s our number one core value: we put safety and qualify of life first. That’s why we’re proud to celebrate National Safety Month each June as a member of the Minnesota Safety Council. It’s an opportunity to bring attention to the procedures and people that protect our team every day, while also having a little fun along the way.
Safety BINGO Makes Near Miss Awareness a Winning Game
Each year, our team takes part in several engaging activities to boost near miss awareness and encourage participation across all departments. One highlight is Safety BINGO, where near miss card submissions are associated with a BINGO number. This encourages everyone to identify and report hazards, making safety a shared responsibility that’s impactful and interactive.
The month will conclude with the annual Safety BBQ, a well-earned celebration for the entire team, recognizing the efforts of every employee to create a safer workplace.
Recognized for Excellence
Our safety program is more than hitting numbers or goals; it’s about building a culture where team members prioritize safety. The commitment to the safety program was proudly recognized this year through two major safety achievements:
MNSHARP Certification: Through our ongoing partnership with Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MNSHARP), we’ve been recognized as a MNSHARP site. This program honors companies that go beyond OSHA compliance to develop proactive, employee-driven safety programs rooted in prevention, assessment, and continuous improvement.

FMA Safety Award of Merit: Anderson Dahlen received this award from the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA) for maintaining a recordable incident rate at least 10% better than the industry average. It’s a reflection of our team’s daily commitment to working safely and looking out for one other.

Living Our Values
National Safety Month serves as a deliberate reminder for our team to prioritize safety each day. This year’s recognitions reinforce what we already know – safety is at the core of every project, design, and decision. As part of the Gray family of companies, we live by our first core value: we put safety and quality of life first. While we celebrate what we’ve achieved this year, we’re even more focused on continuing to grow and improve. At Anderson Dahlen, we believe safety is more than a priority – it’s a way of life.
